The trike a thon for today has been postponed and we will do it next week during each of the classes field day festivities!!!!!! So Thriving Threes will do their trike a thon on Thursday June 2nd and Fabulous Fours will do theirs on Wednesday June 1st!!!!!

I want to tell everyone to stay safe first and foremost. We are still planning on having the program, but if when you are ready to walk out the door and it is threatning weather please just wait it out and if all is well when the storm has passed then head up to the preschool and we will have the program after all storms have passed.

I just wanted to send out a quick email to say Thank you to all of the Little Lambs and parents who came out to sing at church Sat. night. The little ones always get so excited about performing and they practice so hard in the couple of weeks before.

I also want to Thank everyone who helped make our Little Lambs sale so- successfull this year. Many donated items, many came to shop as well. A special Thank you to Karin Klaustermeir, Holly Faerber, and Jamie Huster for all of thier extra help.

Don't forget that Wednesday is our field trip to Grant's Farm meet in the church parking lot at 8:30.

I also made a mistake on the May calendar-Last day of school for Fabulous Fours is Wed. June 1st and Last day for Thriving Threes is Thursday June 2nd!

Our end of year program is Wednesday May 25th.

Hello

Today was a very busy day at preschool. Brayden was our leader of the day. He dressed the weather boy accordingly. We continued working on the letter Oo and the sound it makes, we even got a chance to practice writing the letter Oo. Abby brought our snack today and we got to spend some time outside on the playground. After recess we came back inside to listen to a story and sing a song about an Octopus and the letter O. We finished our butterfly project to hang up in the room and got to take our kites home. Next week is the letter Pp. Next Thursday will bring your pet to school day. If anyone would like to bring their pet please do so on Thursday from 10:45-11:15 for a pet parade outside. If you have any questions please let me know.

I have scheduled a Lunch Bunch for Friday, April 15th at 11:30 for kindergarten information and readiness. As of right now I only have one person that has responded that they would like to attend. Today was a super day at preschool. Our leader of the day was Kevin, he checked out the weather for us and dressed the weather boy accordingly. We started our lessons today by reviewing the letter Nn and the sound it makes and coming up with words that start with Nn. This week we are working on the letter Oo and the sound it makes. We learned our O Bible verse. We practiced writing the letter O, colored a picture of an Oak tree and an Otter! We then colored a plane piece of paper that we made paper airplanes out of to play with during indoor recess. Today was Emily B. birthday and she brought snack to celebrate. After snack we played with our paper airplanes. We read our Bible story today which was about Jeremiah and how he listened and Obeyed God! After our story we worked on a butterfly project and planted marigold seeds so we can watch them grow. Next week we are will be working on the letter P. If anyone has a special pet that they would like to bring to share with the class on Friday, please let me know. I thought we could do it the last half-hour of school (10:45-11:15).

Hello-

We all had a really good day! Savannah was our leader of the day, and she decided the weather was cloudy and cool, she then dressed Wendy the Weather girl accordingly. Today we reviewed the letter M from last week and introduced the letter N for this week. Pastor K came in to read our Bible story today and lead us in our morning exercises as well as two fun Sunday School songs. We read a short story about Noah and the ark. We had time to color a picture of Noah and his ark. We then colored a page of a Nest with three eggs in it and practiced writing our Nn's. Logan brought our yummy snack today. After snack we stayed inside for recess and did the spooky walk, Joe song, my shadow song. We then read our "little n" story book that gave us lots of N words to remember. We introduced the N bible verse and it is in your folders. After recess we got to bead our Necklaces for our backpacks!!!! We had a lot of fun with this project. While we were waiting to be picked up, we got to see a bird building her next right by the door of the preschool!

As a reminder anyone who has not signed up for next year preschool, and want to please do so by Thursday of this week as we will open to the general public on Friday, April 1st (we do have a waiting list for the public) and I want everyone that is currently enrolled that wish to come back next year to get their chance to do so. We are filling up fast and once we open up to the general public, we will more than likely be full.

Hello,

We had a great day at preschool today! Liam was our leader of the day, he decided that the weather was sunny and cool out so he dressed Willy the weather boy accordingly. Today we reviewed the letter M and have now moved on the the letter N for the week. We listened to the sound that N makes and practiced sounding it out as well. We read a story about Noah and his ark. Today we colored the N pictures which was Noah and his ark. We also colored a nest that had eggs in it. If anyone has anything at home to share with the class that starts with the letter N please feel free to bring it in. Pastor K brought us our snack today and Mrs. K put it together!!!! We had Nachos (chips and cheese). We got to make necklaces by stringing beads and some of us decided to make the necklace for our backpacks!!!We also learned our new N Bible verse: No man can serve two masters-Matthew 6:24. This has been put in the binders. Please practice the verses with your little ones as we will say those at our end of year program.

April calendar will be in our notebooks on Wednesday. Don't forget about DBE Kindergarten information night on Tuesday evening at the DBE Gym.

Hello-

It was great to back at school today! Today we were all so excited to see our friends after a great spring break. We all had a chance to sDhare our favorite spring break activity and it sounds like everyone had a lot of fun. Our leader of the day was Jaiden!!!!He checked out the weather outside and decided that it was sunny and warm, he then dressed the weather boy accordingly. We reviewed the letter L and the sound it makes and have now moved on the the letter M this week. Today we celebrated Elise's birthday and she shared a birthday cake with all of us! After snack we went outside to play with no jackets required!!!!After recess we went in to read a story about Mary Magedline and how she saw Jesus. Today we colored a picture of Baby Moses to put in our letter book and then practiced writing the letter Mm. We also glued marshmellows in the shape of the letter Mm.

It was great to see everyone today, I missed all of my little friends! Today we had Parents as Teachers here to screen those that are going to kindergarten next year, they will also be at preschool on Friday to finish up. Pastor K came over to read a Bible story to us and taught us a great new song. Pastor led us in our morning exercises too. Today we continue to work on the letter L and the sound it makes. We colored a Lamb and practiced writing our Ll's. To help celebrate St. Patricks Day next week we also colored a Leprachan. We had our snack in the classroom and it was cookies and juice. After snack we worked on the first part of our art project, which was coloring and cutting our lion. We then glued our lion to a paper plate and added the mane by glueing stick pretzels to the plate and lion. Friday we will finish the other side of the plate by adding a lamb. Our room is starting to look alot like springtime! Our kites are hanging in the class and the tree is starting to show its buds and blooms.

On Friday March 11th Mrs. K will be not be here and I will there by myself. I will need everyone to please bring your child into preschool that morning as well as come in to pick them up to come home. If you have other little ones in the car and it is too hard to bring them in-just give me a call on my cell and I will come to the door to escort them in! My cell phone is 314-740-0991.

As a reminder we are working on our fundraiser for April 30th and are looking for donations to sell as well as volunteers to help set up and help out at the sale. Sign up sheet is on the board at the bottom of the stairs.

Hello-

We had a great day at preschool! It was great to be back and see all of my little friends. Today Pastor K came in to read us our Bible story and lead us in our morning excercises. Our leader of the day today was Abby Flake. She checked out the weather and reported back that it was raining outside, she then dressed Wendy Weather accordingly. We introduced the letter L this week and practiced make the sound that L makes. We colored a picture of a Lamb then colored Lolipop page that we got to practice writing the letter L. After snack we had inside recess. During recess we played with bean bags and worked on tossing them, then once we caught it we would tell our friends what color and shape it was. Then we tossed the bean bags into the big shapes by matching the bean bag shape to the big shapes. After recess we did part one of our art project today. We all got to pick out our orange, yellow and brown colors or markers and then colored the Lion that will be a part of our "In like a lion, out like a lamb project.

Reminder: Please check the calendar for snack!! Our little ones really look forward to snack time. If you can not make the day on the calendar, please let me know so we can plan ahead of time or you can switch with another parent. Thanks!

Hello-

We really missed a lot of our friends today! We hope that all are feeling better and will be back at school on Thursday! Our leader of the day was Savannah, she said the weather was sunny and cold and dressed Wendy weather accordingly. This week we are working on the letter K and the sound that it makes. We colored a picture of a King and practiced writing the letter K as well. We then colored a kite and again practiced writing the letter K. We introduced our new K Bible verse-Keep thy tounge from evil. Isabelle brought our snack for the day, which we all enjoyed! After snack we stayed inside for recess and did the Spooky Song, Jungle Walk, Joe Song. We played a game rolling the dice and counted the dots on the dice and then counted out the teddy bears or dinosaurs to match what each of us rolled. We then got to see which of our friends had more or less. We all had a chance to paint our Kites today that we will hang in our room and read a story about King Saul and David.

I will be gone on Thursday this week. Mrs K. will be there along with Mrs Feldkamp who was the preschool teacher a while back. I will miss everyone and look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday!

Hello-

Little Lambs Preschool is hosting a fleamarket/tailgate sale on the church parking lot on Sat. April 30th from 7am to 1 pm. There are two ways to help: We are seeking donation items for the Preschool fundraiser sale under the pavillion. Also if you wish to rent spaces yourself to hold your own sale, double spaces are available for $10. (You can purchase more double paces if needed). All funds raised for the preschool will be matched by Thrivent Financial.

No baked goods or lunch items may be served on the lot as the Ladies Aid is holding their Spring Lunceon and craft sale from 9-2 in the church basement that day as well.

Donation items can be dropped off Thursday, April 28th- Saturday, April 30th by 7am. In case of rain we will move the sale to May 14th.

Here is a list of times and things we will need help with:

Friday April 29th: Helpers needed from 5-7pm to help with pricing.

Saturday April 30th: Helpers needed to set up: 5-7am (make coffee, pick up donuts, mark spaces and set up/clean tables)

Hello-

We had a great day at prescho.ol! Pastor came in to read us a story about Jesus and then led us in our morning exercises. Ashlynn Reeves was our leader of the day. Ashlynn decided that the weather was cold and rain, she then dressed the Wendy Weather accordingly. Today we continued to work on the letter J and the sound that it makes. The new J Bible verse is in the folder and we made it shorter since it was a long one for us to memorize!!! Today we colored a Jellyfish picture and practiced writing our J's. We also spent time working on our numbers and counting the jungle animals in the picture. Liam brought our snack today which was banannas and grapes. After snack we spent some time free playing inside since it was too cold and wet to go outside. We read My Little J Book and came up with words that begin with the letter J. We finished our day by coloring the first part of our Jesus books and will finish up on Friday.

The March calendar is in the folders. If you are not able to bring snack on your assigned day just let me know or feel free to switch with someone.

Hello-

Today was a fun filled day! It was great to see all of our friends. Pastor K came in to read our Bible story today about Jesus! He lead us in our morning stretches and excercises. Tyler was our leader of the day. After doing the calendar, Tyler decided it was cold and cloudy out. He dressed Willy the weather boy accordingly. This week we are working on the letter J and the sound it makes. We colored a picture of a Jaguar and searched for the J's in the picture. Abagayle brought our snack today! We ate bannanas like the monkeys do in the Jungle!!!!!After snack we did the Spooky Song as well as the Jungle walk and Joe. After play time we read a story about My little J book then made a Jellyfish to take home. We also learned a new Bible verse today to go with the letter J. It is in the folder for them to work on and we shortened it as it was a little long for us to remember.

If you do not partcipate in Parents as Teachers we have included a Ages & Stages Questionnaires to be filled out by you and sent back to us. There is no deadline for this but it will help us in knowing where your child is and what we should focus on at preschool in order to prepare them for Kindergarten. If you don't have one in your folder then this was done by your Parents as Teacher or it will be soon. Let me know if you have any questions at all.

Hello-

Today started out as a usual day with Pastor coming in to read our Bible story, he also led us in our morning exercises. Logan was our leader of the day, he
decided the weather was partly cloudy and dressed Willie the weather boy accordingly. Today we celebrated Jacob's birthday which was on Valentines Day! This week we are working on the letter I. We colored a picture of ice cream and worked on the sound that I makes. We got a chance to work on our numbers 1-5 before our party started.

A great big Thank you to our parents who brought in our special treats today to make our party extra special!!!! Thank you to the parents and friends who were able to join us for our Valentines Day party!

Happy Valentines Day!

Our leader of the day was Joseph, he helped with the flags, calendar and then checked out the weather! He decided it was sunny and dressed Willy the Weather boy accordingly! Today we reviewed the letter H and the sound it makes and our H bible verse. We are starting the letter I this week and we practiced the sound that I makes. We then colored a worksheet of ice cream and told Ms Lisa what our favorite flavor is. We also go to practice writing our letter I i. We then worked on a worksheet filling in the missing letters of the alphabet, this was a little hard and most of us go a little frustrated. I think because we were getting so close to our party time. The worksheet is in their binders so Parents if you want to pull it out and work on it with them that would be great! I think that most needed a little bit of one on one when it came to this one.

It was great to decorate all of our boxes today and share our valentines with our friends. Thanks to the Moms, Dads and Grandparents that were there today. A special thanks goes out to those that brought in the special treats for our party!

As a reminder, Warren County R-3 schools will have school on Presidents Day and so will we now.

March 9th and 11th Parents as Teachers will be at Little Lambs to screen all those entering Kindergarten next year. I will be sending home the consent forms in their binders, please fill out and send back. If you have any questions please let me know!

Hello-

Today was a great day. We started our day with Pastor K reading us a Bible story, he then led us in our morning exercises. Our morning workouts are getting a little tough! Amber was our leader of the day, she decided that the weather was snowy and dressed Wendy Weather accordingly. We continue to work on the letter H and the sound that it makes. We all worked on our new Bible verse for H-Honor thy father and thy mother-Exodus 20:12. We worked on a worksheet that we got to circle all of the items on the page that start with the letter H. Today we celebrated Kevin's birthday and he brought cupcakes to share with the class in honor of his special day!!!! After snack we had indoor recess where we did a life size board game with big dice and carpet squares. We had two teams and each friend would roll the dice and count the dots to see how many carpet spaces they would get to move! Once we all made it to home base we settled down to work on a fun valentines craft. We got to get our hands dirty working with the clay. Some felt that we were in a cooking class. We kneaded the clay till it was just right then rolled it out to cut out heart shapes. Some of us made dinosaurs and snowmen with the leftover clay.

Here is the recipe for the clay in case you want to make it at home:

1 cup rolled oats

2/3 cup flour

1/2 cup water

food coloring

mix together then mold into whatever shape you would like, let set out overnight to dry then you can paint it or leave it natural

Please remember to bring in shoeboxes or any box for valentines day party! The class list is in the communication folder that comes home everyday, in case you need it to fill out valentines.

Hello-

It was great to be back at school and to see all of our friends today! Pastor came in to read us a Bible story and he then lead us in our morning exercises. Our leader of the day was Max! Max checked out the weather and reported back to the class that it was partly cloudy, cold and snowy! He then dressed Willy the weather boy accordingly! Today we introduce the letter H and worked on the sound that it makes. We also came up with alot of words together as a group of things that start with H. We colored a house the begins with H. We had several friends do an amazing job on coloring their houses and shared them with the rest of the class. Our second coloring page was a picture of an Angel holding a Heart! Savannah brought our yummy snack of Heart shaped cookies and strawberry wafer cookies. After snack we had indoor recess, we played a real life candy board game by lining the carpet sqaures around the room, ending at the big carpet. Each of us rolled the big dice and counted what they had rolled then moved that many carpet spaces till we got home! Everyone did a really great job of counting the dots on the dice then moving that many spaces. After recess we used our cutting skills to cut out two hearts then we glued them together as well as glueing marshmellows around the small heart. They are on display in our classroom for Valentines Day!

Our Valentines Day party for the Thriving Threes will be Feburary 15th from 10-11. I need all students to bring in a shoebox for us to decorate for that day! We will then use those put our Valentines that we get that day!

I am looking for some families to bring items for our party to make it special: Cupcakes, cookies, milk, something not so sweet!!!, etc........

Hello,

Well I have to say it was really nice to be back at school today! We all had a great day and we are working on the letter H this week. Our leader of the day today was Morgan Quinn. She picked Sophia to help her with the flags. Morgan decided that the weather today was cloudy, cold and snowy and she dressed Wendy or weather girl accordingly. After calendar we read the story Groundhog Day-Phil (since we missed it last week). We listened to the sound that H makes and practiced it and named off all of the words we know that start with H. We colored a picture of Dora Hugging Boots and it had Hearts on it. We had our snack of orange drink and graham crackers before we had our indoor recess. A big thankyou to Kodi's mom Kris for helping out today. Back by popular demand was the Spooky Walk and then some time for free play. We then gathered to read another story about Elishia-Helping others that want to Hurt Us from the book of Kings. We practiced writing any letters that we knew in the alphabet with pencils and then we did our Heart craft that invovled using our cutting and glueing skills, we then glued marshmellows around the heart. We did get a chance to eat a few as well!!!!!!After the hearts dried we hung them on our board that was covered with painting that all did the last week of January.

Fabulous Fours will have their Valentines Day Party on Feb. 14th from 10:00 till time to go home!

Please send a shoebox with your child to school this week as we will decorate them for our party next week!

I am also looking for a few volunteers to help out at our party and for special treats for the kids for snack time that day, (cupcakes, cookies, milk, etc.....)

Today was another busy day at preschool. Pastor K came to visit us and read a story of Jesus' Baptizim and temptation. He then led us in our exercises. Rachel was our leader of the day and was a great junior teacher. We did the calendar and Racheal dressed Wendy the weather girl according to the weather outside today which we decided was cpld and partly cloudy. We all practiced our Bible verses. Charleigh brought Gum and a Giraffe to show her friends today. We practiced making the G sound. Haley brought the snack which was granola bars and green milk. We colored a worksheet that had grapes on it and learned the difference between a big G and little g. We spent recess inside today and by popular demand did the spooky song, Jungle walk and the train song. We glued marshmellows on a letter G on green paper. Our last activity today was to work in small groups with numbers. Half of the class worked with Mrs. K on a giant floor puzzle identifying numbers while the other half worked with me on a worksheet counting the stars then circling the corresponding number.

It was great to be back at school today! Our leader of the day was Ian. He decided that the weather was sunny today and dressed our Willy weather boy up in the right clothes to go outside! We had calendar time and counted aloud to 25! Our letter of the week is Gg, we worked on the sound that G makes and then identified words that start with G. Our new Bible verse this week is G-God is Love 1 John 4:8 this will be in our folders for memory work! We colored our coloring pages today, which included Grapes for G and Goliath for G. After coloring we worked in small groups in identifing colors and listening to instructions by sorting worms, bears, and dinosaurs. Lucas brought our snack today of bannans and vanilla waffers, they were yummy! After snack we had inside recess since it is still too cold to go outside! We went on a spooky walk, a jungle walk, as well as doing the train song and jump song. Our Bible story today was about David and Goliath. We took turns working with Mrs. K painting our fish and with Mrs. Lisa to work on our cutting, counting, and glueing skills by putting a fish puzzle together. What a busy day we had today!

Hello!

It was great to be back at school today! Hopefully we can get back on schedule and have a full week of class! This week we are working on the letter Gg, we came up with lots of words today that start with G: God, Goliath, green, goat, gold, gum, gifts, giraffes, goose, grapes, glue. If anyone has anything special at home that starts with the letter G please bring it to class to share with our friends! Kevin was our Leader of the Day. We did calendar and Kevin dressed the Willy the Weather boy in the right clothes to go outside. We learned a new Bible verse today, G-God is love-John 4:8. We will put this under memory work in everyones folder. Mrs. K made us our snack today, it was freshly made popcorn (not the microwave kind) and we could smell it and it made us very hungry, we had Grape koolaid with our popcorn! After snack we had indoor recess and did the Spooky Walk song and the Jump song. We worked with Mrs K to complete our fish project and worked with Ms Lisa to work on our cutting skills-we cut the goldfish picture puzzle pieces out and then glued them to green paper in number order. We all got to bring home Green balloons for being Good! We read the story of David and Goliath.

Hello,

Our day started with a visit from Pastor K-he came to read us a Bible story and to do exercises with us! Our leader of the day was Haley, we did calendar and counted to 18. Haley decided it was rainy and snowy out so we dressed Wendy Weather girl accordingly. We colored two pages today one of Eskimos and the other a Frog. As everyone was finishing up their coloring pages we worked in small groups identifying longest, shortest, and medium sizes. We worked on sorting bears and dinosaurs by color and by like items. Max brought our snack for the day and it was strawberry/banana yogurt with vannilla wafers! After snack we had time to play before working on our crafts. Today we finished our coffee filter fish craft. We glued marshmellows to construction paper in the shape of the letter F, we then got to eat some as well. Casey brought in his favorite fan to show us since it started with the letter F. We are continuing to work on the letter F this week since we had such a short week last week.

Hello-

Friday was a great day had by all at Little Lambs! Pastor K came to read to us today, the story was about Jesus' family trip and he finished off his visit with us by doing excersizes. We continue to work on the letter "F" and the sound that it makes. We colored two fish pictures today with one being a dot-to-dot (#1-10). Our leader of the day was Charleigh and to help us celebrate her birthday on Sat. January 15th, Charleigh brought in a birthday cookie cake and juice to share. Since it is still too cold to go outside to play we brought the snow inside and used color sticks to stir and melt the snow, we then poured the different colors into a tub of snow and made rainbow colored snow! We completed our fish craft today, went fishing for #'s and practiced writing the letter Ff. We finished our day with a story about Four Friends Follow Jesus.

It was great to be back in school today! This week we are working on the letter F. Pastor K came to visit us today and told us the story of Jesus and His Family trip. Casey Parr was our Leader of the day. We practiced saying the sound that F makes and also practiced writing the letter F as well as coloring a Fishermen and Frog picture. We had our snack of "F"ruit snacks and gold"f"ish. After snack we had a fluffball snowball fight! We brought in a bucket of snow to watch melt. Each student got a cup of snow with a stir stick to stir until it melted then we did phase 1 of our "F"ish project and used the snow to wet the coffee filters to spread the colors on it. We finished our day with the Fisher's of Men Bible story! We also did two snow poems and learned a new Bible verse: F-Fear Not! For I am with thee.

Hello,

Today was filled with lots of fun activities. Our leader of the day today was Anthony! We are working with the letter F this week. We started our day with free play while everyone was arriving. Our Bible story today was Fishers of Men to go along with the letter F. We also added and learned a new Bible verse today: Fear not for I am with thee (this has been added to our notebooks for memory work). We worked on our Ff coloring page for our ABC book. We went on a treasure hunt for things that start with the letter F-Flag, Friends, Fun, Fish, Feather, Florwer, Five, Four, Famer, Fly to name a few!!!! Pastor brought our snack today and it was Gold "Fish". After snack we could not go outside since it was too cold so we marched and made music with our band instruments and then played red light/green light as we marched. We started step one of our "F"ish craft and worked on a matching activity that they matched the right shoe up to the right person. Wednesday we will continue to work with the letter F and finish our fish craft.

Dear Parents,

It was our last day of regular preschool today. We were glad to see our friends and we will miss them over the summer. We started the day by making our ABC books. (We'll get these at the program). We made a cover for the books and checked to see what letters we are missing. We have been working hard on these books so it will be neat to have them to keep.

We talked about how God will be with us wherever we go. God will be with us in the summer when we are playing, swimming and sleeping. We practiced for our program upstairs. We also made a banner about Zacchaeus that Miss Schlesselman will take with her to Poland. We each put a leaf on the tree. It will take a long time to get to Poland and we decided Miss Schlesselman can't drive or swim so she will be flying.

Then we made books that had everyone's name in it. We drew a picture of our favorite part of preschool. Joseph brought our snack today. It was great granola bars and juice. Then we got to go outside for pet day. We had a cat and dogs. It was fun meeting the pets.

We are looking forward to our field trip tomorrow and our program on Thursday evening.

Dear Parents,

It was a hot and humid day for our last day of preschool. We were glad to see our friends at preschool today for our last day of school. We drew pictures of our favorite things to do in preschool. Then we went around and got our friends to sign their names in our books so we can remember all our friends.

We practiced our program. Then we read a story about a scarecrow and his hat. We had fruit snacks and juice for snack today. We also worked on a project drawing ourselves and letters we knew.

Miss Schlesselman is going to Poland this summer so we made cards for the kids and made a banner about Jesus birth. It was pet today so our friends brought pets like dogs, a cat and a bearded dragon. Since some of us couldn't bring our real pets we brought pictures or stuffed animals.

Dear Parents,

This was our last Friday of school. When we come back on Monday that will be our last day of regular school. We will miss all our friends over the summer. We started our day today by making a bird picture. We had to color the squares and triangles different colors. When we were finished it looked like a bird. Not all of us got finished so we did our projects later.

We talked about our Bible story today. Jamie our puppet learned about the gift of water God gave us. There were many ways to used water mentioned like watering plants, taking a shower or bath, drinking it and playing with. We also mentioned baptism. The story this week was about a man who got baptized. The man was traveling back to Africa and reading the Bible scroll. He did not understand it so Phllip told him about it and about Jesus. The man saw water and was baptized. He was happy to know Jesus loved him.

Our program is coming along quite well and we did a good job of practicing it today. Our calendar helper was Coty. He put up the numbers 20 & 21. Kenny dressed the bear in purple and put up the word cloudy for Friday. Then we read a story about cats. Brianna brought our snack of jello and juice today. By the time we got done with snack it was time to go home.

Next week you can bring your pets on Monday at 10:30. We'll look forward to seeing you on your last day of school.

Dear Parents,

it was a rainy but fun day here at preschool. We had some dads at school today. We started the day by making a picture of our pets. We made up our pets if we didn't have real pets at home. We told what kind of pet we had and the pets name. Then we drew a picture our pet.

We sang songs with the dads who got to come today. Then we heard a story about a man named Phillip. He saw a man in the dessert. The man was riding in a chariot and reading a Bible scroll. Phillip asked him if he knew what he was reading. The man told him no and asked Phillip to ride with him. Phillip told the man about Jesus. He told about Jesus coming to save us from our sins. The man asked to be baptized. Phillip was happy to baptize the man and the man was happy to be baptized. We talked about how we are happy because Jesus loves us. Our story today was about Old MacDonald that had a woodshop.

We made puppy chow today by mixing cereal, chocolate and peanut butter together. It was good and we ate it with the snack that Ashlynn brought. We also made a book about puppies. It was raining so we did beanbag games. We finished the day by making a card with our day or coloring fish.

We look forward to seeing some of you tonight for Dad's day. Tuesday will be our last day and it will be pet day. Have a great weekend.

Dear Parents,

We had a great day today. There were some extra people in our room today as it was Dad's day for the dads that could come in the day. We had a lot of fun with the dads. They were all so helpful too because they helped all of us with our projects Our first project was to draw a picture of our pet. If we didn't have a pet, we made one up. Our Dads helped us with this.

Our dads got to do some fun songs with us. Then we did our Bible story. It was about a man name Philip and man from Ethiopia. The man was riding in a chariot and reading a Bible scroll. He was reading about Jesus but he did not understand what he was reading. So Phillip rode with him in his chariot and explained everything. He told the man about Jesus and how he died and rose again to forgive our sins. As they chariot went by the water the man asked to be baptized. Phillip baptized him and he was very happy.

We made puppy chow today and it was good. Then we made a book with our dad. Ben brought great granola bars and juice for snack. We had a great time playing with our dad's outside on the playground. We finished our day by making a puppy card for our dads.

Those of us who didn't have dads here today will be able to do activities on Thursday night. Friday we will be learning more about Phillip and pet homes.

We were glad to see all our friends back in class today. We are learning about pets this week. Our project for the morning was to color or trace some animals. We had a cat, a dog, a fish and a bird. After we colored them we talked about our favorite pets.

Pastor came today. The story he read to us today was about the Holy Spirit. The story was about a boy named Lucas. He was learning from a man named Phillip who knew Jesus. Phillip told Lucas about the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us to believe in Jesus. We learned about a big word which is sanctification. It is how the Holy Spirit make us holy. Pastor told us about baptism where Jesus washes away our sins. Jesus always loves us and forgives us.

We practiced our program for next week. Then we read a story about Muldoon, a dog. There was a cat that we colored with black white and red. Also we matched the animals with their homes. The dog lived in the dog house. The gerbil lived in the cage.. The fish lived in the bowl. Our snack was fruit snacks and juice brought by Kevin.

It was fun playing outside in the nice weather. The last project for today was to make pet puppets. We are looking forward to Thursday when our dads can either come to school with us during the day or come for special projects at night.

There was a lot of activity going on today We had some teachers from Daniel Boone come today. They came to do our Kindergarten screening for those of us who didn't get it done yet. We went over to the other room and they asked about different things and had us do fun activities. Some of us didn't go because we already got ours done. We are learning about pets this week. We traced pictures of different pets and told about our favorite pet.

Pastor came in today to tell our Bible story. The story was about the Holy Spirit and a boy named Lucas. Lucas listened to a man named Phillip who told him about the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit calls us to be part of God's family. The Holy Spirit was there when we were baptized. The Holy Spirit is there in the Lord's Supper. We learned about all the important jobs that the Holy Spirit does.

Ben was our calendar helper today. He put up the numbers 15, 16 and 17 and put up the right days of the week. It was cloudy outside today so Dulci left the clouds on and changed the day to Monday. She dressed the bear in a red skirt and green shirt. Our story was about a dog today and all of his jobs.

We made a book and had great cookies for snack that Coty brought. We had a short time for recess and finished our day by making pet puppets. Wednesday is Dad's day for dads that can come during the day and Thursday is Dad's night for the dads coming in the evening.

Dear Parents,

We had another great day at preschool today. We made a book today by cutting and folding paper. Some of us drew a lot of pictures and told Mrs. Klaustermeier or Miss Schlesselman what we had drawn. Some of us drew a few pictures and some of didn't draw much at all but we liked making the books.

We practiced our lower case letters with karate kicks today. Miss Schlesselman drew our Bible story today. (It's a good thing she doesn't have to make her living by drawing things.) Our story was about a boy named Timothy (Tim). His mom and grandma told him about God. When he grew up a preacher named Paul told him about Jesus. Paul and Timothy went to tell other people about Jesus and we talked about how we can tell people about Jesus.

Our calendar helper was Ayden. He put up the numbers 13 and 14 and changed the days of the week. Keagan put the clouds up for Friday and dressed the bear as a doctor. Our story today was about Old MacDonald who had a wood shop. We got to play games on the computer today. We also got to choose whatever puzzle or game we wanted to place at the project table. Kenzie snack was yummy monkey bread and milk.

We finished our day by making a picture of our house. Next week we will be learning about Phillip and the Ehtiopian. We will also be talking about pets.

Dear Parents,

We had a great day at preschool today. It was Mom's day at school. Some of us got to have our moms come to school with us. Some us will have our moms come tonight at 6:30. It was nice having our Mom's at school today. We got to make a picture of our families with them. We cut out pictures of our sisters, brothers, mom and dads.

Our Bible story today was about a boy name Timothy. We talked about Timothy's family who told him about Jesus. When Timothy grew up he went with Paul to tell other people about Jesus. Our puppet Jamie reminded us that we can pray for our families even if we do not see them. We can love our family whether they are close or far. Jesus loves us all the time no matter where we are.

The story today was a funny one about a bear looking for a house. We made vegetable soup with our moms and then we drew a picture. We put our family name (our last name) on the the paper and drew pictures of things that we did together. Emily brought a yummy snack of mint Oreos and juice. It was nice weather outside but we had to dry the slides.

We came back in to make a basket and eat our vegetable soup. We will be learning more about Timothy and families on Thursday.

Dear Parents,

It was a wild and rainy day today. Mrs. Klaustermeier and I think the kids act differently when the storms are in the area. We started the day by working on a project for our moms.

Pastor came in to tell us our Bible story today. It was a story about Pentecost. Jesus promised before he went back to heaven that he would send the Holy Spirit to the disciples. After Jesus had gone back to heaven the disciples waited in Jerusalem. One day they heard a sound like wind. They all had flames on the top of their heads. Then they were able to talk to all the people about Jesus. We can do this too. We can tell other people about Jesus.

Our calendar helper today was Olivia. She put up the numbers 8,9, and 10 and changed the days of the week. Our weather helper today was Grant. He put clouds up for today. Then he dressed the bear as a policeman. We read a story about a bear looking for a house.

Nova brought our snack today of pretzels and cheese. We made a book about family and worked on banjos for our final program. It took a lot of time and by the time it was done our parents were there to pick us up.

Mother's Day will be on Wednesday. If you can't make it on Wednesday please plan on joining us on Tuesday night.

We had a great day learning about farm animals today We started our day by making a farm animal mobile. There were six animals on our mobile. The mobile had a cow, goat, pig, duck, chicken and a sheep. We cut out the animals and Miss Schlesselman and Mrs. Klaustermeier put the animals on for us. We glued two animals back to back so we could see animals on both sides.

Jenna our puppet had a necklace on today. It reminded her that Jesus always loves us and always forgives us. The man in our story today named Saul was arresting Christians. He was walking on a road when he saw a bright light. Jesus told Saul to stop hurting HIm. When the light was gone Saul couldn't see. When he got to town he prayed to God. God sent a man to heal him so he could see. Saul changed his name to Paul and told a lot of people about Jesus.

We worked on our program. Then we made a goat puzzle and colored a picture of our Bible story. Charleigh brought a cute snack of cupcakes that looked like lambs which fit really well with our farm week. We had a good time outside. Our last lesson for trike-a-thon was "Watch where you're going" We took our coloring books home today.

Tomorrow is the trike-a-thon at 11:00. Next week is Mother's Day and we will be learning about families.

Dear Parents,

We are certainly staying busy in preschool. Today we are learning about farms. We cut out barns. Then Miss Schlesselman or Mrs. Klaustermeier read us the poem next to the picture of the animal. We glued or taped the barn doors to the barn pictures. Then we we heard the poem we could lift the door and look at the animals underneath. There was a cow, a sheep, a horse and a swallow.

We learned about a man named Saul. He was doing a bad thing by arresting the people who believed in Jesus. We acted out the story of when Jesus talked to Saul. Jesus told him to stop hurting the believers. Saul listened. He changed his name to Paul and told a lot of people about Jesus. Our puppet Jenna told us about how she had done something bad. She threw sand in her friend's face. She didn't think Jesus loved her anymore. We reminded her that Jesus always loves us.

Our story today was about a hard-working duck and a lazy farmer. We made a card to invited our dad's (or other special friends) to preschool. We also colored pictures of things that are on a farm. We had chips for snack. The cars were outside so we got to ride in the LIttle Tykes cars today. Today's lesson for our trike-a-thon is "Be Careful Near Driveways" We watched a short movie clip and colored in our coloring books.

Thursday we will be learning more about the farm and about Paul.

Dear Parents,

All our friends were back at school today and we had a busy day. We are learning about farms this week. We made a book about the farm. It told us about the helpers on the farm, the animals on the farm and what they grow on farms.

Pastor came in today to read us our Bible story. It was about a man named Saul. Saul had done some bad things. He wanted to hurt the people who believed in Jesus. God wanted Saul to tell people about Jesus and not hurt people. One day when Saul was walking Jesus talked to him for the sky. Jesus told Saul not to hurt the believers. When Jesus went back to heaven Saul believed. One of the people he had come to arrest came to him and told him about Jesus. Saul changed his name to Paul and became a missionary. He went on four trips to tell people about Jesus.

Our calendar helper today was Madison. She put up 1,2,3 on the month of May which were the first numbers on May. She also changed the day of the week. Cameron was our weather helper. It was sunny today. He dressed the bear like an Native American. Our story today was about the farm. Then we did some farm activities like drawing what we would have on a farm and making a cow. The cake pops that Cameron brought were yummy. We had a little bit of time to play outside before we had to go.

On Wednesday we will learn more about trike safety , Paul and the farm.

Z is the last letter in the alphabet so we did our last letter practice page today. We practiced writing our z's. Kenzie and Lizzie have lots of practice writing Z's because there are z's in their names.

We acted out our Bible story today. Nova was the crippled man. Cameron and Caden were Peter and John. Peter and John Jesus disciples were going to the temple. There was a man there who was crippled. He asked all the people coming by (the rest of the class) for money. When Peter and John came they told him they had no money. But they had something better. They told the man to walk in the name of Jesus. The man was able to walk and Peter and John were able to tell other people about Jesus. We talked about all the things that make us joyful like moms, dads, school and friends.

Our calendar helper today was Maddie. She put up 29 and 30 the last days for April. She also changed the days of the week. Brianna moved the arrow to sunny and put a sun on the calendar under Friday. She dressed the bear in a dress. We reread a story called "Tops and Bottoms" about how a rabbit tricked a bear.

We made a rainbow with a sun, rain cloud and colors. Then we got to color our own rainbow of any color. We had cookies for snack. We ended the day by going outside for recess and learning about wearing our helmets for the trike-a-thon.

Next week we will be learning about Paul's conversion. We will also be learning about farms.

It sure was windy today. We could hear and see the wind blowing from inside. We have finished our last letter of the alphabet today. We learned about z this week. Our first project was to paint a z. We used green finger paint to paint our z's.

We acted out our Bible story today. The Bible story was about two men name Peter and John. Peter and John were Jesus friends. Jesus had gone back to heaven. Peter and John (played by Ethan and Emily) were going to the temple. A man who couldn't walk was there (played by Kevin). He was asking the people coming to the temple (everyone else) to give him money. Peter and John told the man they didn't have any money. They told the man they had something better. They told the man to walk in the name of Jesus and he did. Jesus can help us do amazing things.

Our lesson for trike safety today was "Don't ride in the street" We watched a short movie about how streets are unsafe for trikes and that cars are much bigger. Then we colored the next page in our book. We will have two more lessons to learn about the riding our trikes before the trike-a-thon next Friday May 7th.

Mrs. Klaustermeier brought us yummy crackers and cheese for snack. We played outside and we were glad that we didn't blow away with the windy weather. Then we made our last alphabet puppet. It was a zipper puppet.

Next week we will be learning about farms. We will also learn about a man named Saul who changed his name to Paul.

We were glad to see the sun and no rain today since it's been a few days since we've seen that kind of weather. We made cards for our Moms today. They get to come to a special day at school with us in May.

Our Bible story today was about Peter and John. Peter and John were two of Jesus disciples. One day they went to the church to pray. There was a man there who was lame. He could not walk. The man asked Peter and John for money. Peter told the man he didn't have any money but that he had something better. He told the man to walk in the name of Jesus and the man did. He was jumping and leaping and praising God. The people at the church were surprised. Peter told them about Jesus and many people believed.

Luke was our calender helper. He put up the days Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are almost to the end of April and he put up the number 27 and 28. Our weather helper was Caden. It was sunny at weather time so he changed the day to Wednesday and put up a sun. He dressed the bear in a police uniform. We read another alphabet story today.

We made a sun picture for centers today. We also made a book about the sun. We learned how the sun helps plants grow and warms the earth. Ben brought Rice Krispie treats and juice for snack. The weather was nice for playing outside. We finished the day by making our zipper wheels.

We will be learning more about Peter and the letter Z on Friday. We will also learn about rainbows.

Today we learned about the letter Z. This is the last letter we will be talking about. We made a z book today. The book was about a zebra. The zebra lived in a zoo and it moved around the zoo in a special way. It zigged and zagged around the zoo. The zebra book had a big z that we could trace.

Pastor came in today to tell us our Bible story. It was about some men who went fishing. Their job was to be fishermen. But when Jesus came they started to fish for people. When Jesus died they were very sad. They went back to go fishing. After they had fished all night they had nothing. They were very sad. Then a man on shore told them to try again. When they caught a lot of fish, they knew it was Jesus. They were so glad to see Jesus. Jesus wanted the disciples to tell other people about Jesus.

We practiced our play for the final program. We also practiced our song. The trike-a-thon will be next week so we are learning how to be safe. We watched a short video and colored a page about wearing our helmet. We also worked on our Mother's Day invitations.

Becca brought Oreos (which are black and white like zebras) for snack. We played outside and put on our coats because ti was a little windy. Our last project today was our last project for our ABC book. We made a zebra picture.

We will be learning more about Z and the disciples on Thursday.

Dear Parents,

Today was a dreary day outside but a fun day at preschool. We started the day by making our last letter book. We have gotten to the end of the alphabet and we are learning about z. We had z words like zipper, zebra and zigzag in our alphabet book. We also practiced our z's.

Pastor came in to tell us a story today. He told us about men named Paul and Silas who were in jail. They had not done anything wrong, they were telling people about Jesus. But the leaders did want them to tell about Jesus so they threw them in prison. That night there was a earthquake and the jail doors were opened. The guard at the jail thought he would get in trouble because the prisoners escaped. Paul and Silas and all the prisoners were still there. They told the guard about Jesus. He and his whole family were baptized.

Our calendar helper today was Lucas. He knew that today was Monday, he knew what yesterday was and he knew what tomorrow will be. Then he also changed the numbers. Ben was our weather helper. It was could and windy out and he dressed the bear in an army uniform. We read a story about an alphabet mystery.

We used clouds and raindrops to spell our name and colored a zebra picture with a zipper. Kenny brought yummy applesauce and Teddy Grahams for snack. It wasn't raining so we got to play outside. We finished the day by making an umbrella picture.

Wednesday we will be learning more about the letter z and we will be learning about the sun.

Dear Parents,

It was a rainy day here at preschool today. It's good to see the rain and some plants could use some rain. We started our day by making a flower. We made a daffodil. We cut out the flower. Then we had to follow directions and cut the flower on the little solid lines. Everyone did a great job following directions. Then we picked what color stem we wanted on our flowers.

Pastor came in to tell us a Bible story today. We heard about a man named Thomas. Thomas was one of Jesus disciples. He had seen Jesus die but he didn't see Jesus after He had risen. When his friends told Thomas the news, Thomas was glad but he wasn't sure if what they said could be true. One day about a week later Jesus appeared to his disciples. Thomas was there. He got to see Jesus. He saw the nail prints and believed. We talked about how we can believe in Jesus even though we can't see him.

Our calendar helper was LIzzie. She changed the day to Friday and put up the numbers 22 and 23. Ayden checked our weather. It was cloudy and rainy. He dressed the bear in a rain coat. Our story was about rain today too. We planed our flowers (there may be a few stray tomato plants coming home). We also made a yak puppet. Lucas brought great granola bar snacks and juice. We did some beanbag songs since it was wet outside.

We finished the day by practicing our y's. Next week we will learn about Peter and the Crippled Man. We will be learning about the last letter in the alphabet Z.

Dear Parents,

Today we worked on a y book. The book we made was about a yak. We learned that the yak has long hair and long horns. The yak can also carry things on its back We read the book with Miss Schlesselman and Mrs. Klaustermeier and colored the pages.

We heard about Jesus going to heaven today. He was with his disciples. He told his disciples that he would always be with them. Then he started rising up. A cloud covered Jesus and his disciples couldn't see him anymore. Angels told the disciples that Jesus had gone back to heaven. Our puppet Jamie reminded us that Jesus is with us when we are scared, mad, happy and at all times.

We learned about our trike-a-thon today and about the kids at St. Jude Hospital. We will be learning more about how to ride safely. There was a game we go to play too. We learned about wearing our helmets, watching where we are going, being careful near driveways and not to ride in the street.

Ashlynn brought a yummy snack of fruit snacks and snack mix. We had fun playing and climbing outside. Then we came in to make our yarn puppet. Next week we will be learning about the letter Z and Peter and the crippled man. In May we will be learning about pets, farms and families.

Dear Parents,

We got to paint today! Our letter for this week is Y. We took yarn and dipped it in paint. Then we pulled the string across the paper. It made long stripes on the paper. Some of us even got y's on or papers by pulling the string across the paper in different ways.

We were glad to see Pastor today. He came in to tell us our Bible story. We got to pick which Bible story we read. This one was about a man name Thomas. Jesus friends were glad to see Jesus alive. Thomas was not in the room when Jesus visited his friends. He told his friends he needed to see Jesus to believe that he was alive. Jesus visited Thomas and Thomas believed. We talked about how we can't see Jesus but we can believe because other people tell us about Him and we can talk to Him.

We read a story about a flower that wouldn't grow. Then we made a butterfly. Miss Schlesselman asked us what we thought we would do if we were butterflies. She wrote the words and we drew the picture. We will do things like fly around the world. watch the fireworks and watch the raccoon. Nicholas brought us a yummy snack of puppy chow.

We had a good long time to play outside. Our last y project for the day was to make a yo-yo. We colored it and glued on the string. We will be learning more about the letter y on Thursday.

Dear Parents,

We were missing some of our friends today. We only had 16 of our 20 students at class. We didn't make our y book today because the copier was not working. So our first project today was to paint with yarn. Yarn is a y word and we learning about y words. We had different colors of paint with yarn in them. Then we took the strings and dragged them across our paper to make a picture with them.

Our Bible story today was about Jesus ascending into heaven. Miss Schlesselman had a piece of paper that looked white. But then she painted over it with paint and we saw the disciples. The disciples were happy that Jesus was alive. Jesus knew it was time for him to go back to heaven. We talked about all the things that Jesus told his disciples. He told them to tell other people about Him and that He would always be with them. Jesus didn't walk away though, he rose up into the sky until a cloud covered him. Miss Schlesselman painted on the picture and the cloud covered Jesus. We knew that even though we can't see Jesus he is always with. We each got a blue yarn bracelet to remind us that Jesus is always with us.

Our calendar helper today was Kenzie. She put up Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. She also put up the numbers 17,18 and 19. Our weather helper was Nova. He put up the clouds for today since Monday was cloudy. He also dressed the bear in a pumpkin outfit. The story today was about a girl name Fran who fed her plant pizza and ice cream. Nova brought Twinkies and ring pops for us today. We also got to look at books today.

We had a nice long time outside. Then we came inside and looked for yellow pictures in magazines. Yellow also starts with y and we found a lot of yellow pictures in the magazines. We will be learning more about the letter y and Jesus ascension on Wednesday.

Dear Parents,

We made caterpillars today. We remembered when our caterpillars were very small. Now they are flying outside. Our caterpillars we made today were matching caterpillars. Each part of the caterpillar (except the face) had a letter on it. We had to cut out circles that had letters on them. Then we had to match the uppercase letters on the circles with the lower case letters on the caterpillar. Then we could color the caterpillar and draw a face on it. We had happy faces, sad faces and mad faces.

We practiced our song for Sunday. We also talked about the Bible story we've been learning about. Pastor couldn't come today since he wasn't feeling well. Kenny was our calendar helper today. He changed the days of the week and counted the days with the star pointer. Maddie was our calendar helper. The weather was sunny and she dressed the bear in a princess outfit.

We made a box today. The word box has a letter x in and we sing about in our song we'll sing on Sunday. We also made our x wheel. Some of the words started with x like xylophone and x-ray. Some of them ended in x like box and ax. We had a good time outside and we thought it looked like rain.

Next week we will be learning about the letter y and Jesus and the crippled man.

Dear Parents,

Today we made a fox picture for the letter x. We learned about words that end x. There are not many words that start with x. Miss Schlesselman read "Fox in Socks" which has a lot of x words in it. We cut out his tail, body and head. We had many colorful foxes today.

We walked around the church today to talk about all the places that we could heard about Jesus. There were Sunday School rooms upstairs, the church and the balcony. We talked about the different places that we could hear about God. We also went outside and looked at the houses to talk about how we can hear about God at home.

Our calendar helper today was Keagan. He put up the numbers 12 and 13 and changed the days of the week. Madison was our weather helper. It was very sunny today so she put the sun on Wednesday. She dressed the bear in sparkly dress. Madison brought cupcakes for her birthday and we sang "Happy Birthday" to her. Olivia brought us yummy fruit snacks and juice.

We made a caterpillar puzzle during centers. We had to cut out the pieces and glue them together to make a picture of caterpillar. We also made a butterfly life cycle with noodles. We used the smallest noodle that Miss Schlesselman had for the butterfly egg. Then we used a rotini noodle for the caterpillar, a shell for the cocoon and a mostaccioli noodle for the body of the butterfly. We had to draw the wings of the butterfly.

It was a fun playing outside even though we weren't out for very long because it was time to go. We will be practicing our song we are sining on Sunday and learning more about the letter X on Friday.

We were glad to see all our friends today. Our first project today was to make a x book. The x book was about x-rays. In the book we made we saw a dog x-ray, a cat x-ray and person x-ray.

Our Bible story today was about two friends of Jesus. They were walking on a road and they were very sad. They were sad because they knew that Jesus had died. A stranger came up and talked with them. They told the stranger about what had happened. The stranger then told him that the Bible told them that Jesus had to die and he would rise again. When the stranger came to their house with them, they realized it was Jesus. Thye told their friends the good news that Jesus was alive.

We made a butterfly picture today with pattern blocks. We also had a picture of a butterfly. We made a butterfly life cycle with noodles. We started with small letter noodles. The eggs of the butterfly are really small. Then we used the rotini needles for the caterpillar, shells for the cocoon and long noodles for the butterfly of the butterfly.

Ethan brought our snack today which was yummy vanilla wafers and cheese & crackers. We had fun playing outside. We finished the day by making a fox for our x box. We will be learning more about the disciples on the road to Emmaus and about the letter x.

Dear Parents,

Today we made an Easter book. There was a picture of the two women going to the tomb. When you turned the page an angel pops out. The angel told the women "Don't be afraid" They told them that Jesus had risen. We colored the pictures and put our names on the books. We can share these with other people and tell the story of Easter.

We talked more about Easter today. We reviewed all the parts of the Easter story. We talked about how the women were happy and told Jesus friends that He was alive. We can tell others about Jesus too. We played a game to practice that today. We had a ball and we tossed it around our circle. We told one thing about our Bible story and then we threw it to another friend.

Dulci was our calendar helper. She put up the days Thursday, Friday and Saturday. She added the numbers 8 and 9 to the calendar. Our weather helper today was Lucas. He put the sun up by Friday. He dressed the bear like a police man. We read a story about Charlie the caterpillar.

We played some games at centers today. We also got to look at all the books today. Kenzie brought chips and juice for snack that she helped pass out. We got to play outside today and we were glad that it had warmed up.

We finished the day by writing our W's. We had a lot of important things to take home today like our song for church, our cross we made, and a lunch bunch information card. Next week we will be learning about x and the Emmaus disciples.

We had a great day at preschool today. Tiffany and Justin two kids that come to Kingdom Kids after-school program were there to help us today. We had fun playing with them and we liked the puppet shows they did. We started the day by making a wagon picture. We had to cut out the wagon and the wheels. Then we had three shapes to glue on the paper. Each shape had a different animal like a wolf and a window.

Our Bible story today was about Easter. Miss Schlesselman drew a tomb and told us about how the tomb was empty. We sang a song about the women going to the tomb. When they saw the angel they were afraid. But the angels told them not to be afraid. Jesus is Risen! We talked about how we can tell other people about Jesus.

We worked on a Easter egg basket picture today. We had to pick the right color and draw eggs in the basket. We also made our v page that we didn't get done last week. We made a vest picture. Charleigh brought great cupcakes that had worms on them. What a great w word. We also had a witch mask, a worm (a real one) and a whistle. It was windy outside and we had a great time playing.

Then we came inside to do our worm puppet. We cut out the pink work and glued it on to a bag. We will be learning about the letter X next week and the Emmaus disciples.

It was another wonderful day at preschool. We were excited to see that the caterpillars were making their cocoons. Today we had water by the boys bathroom because the water heater broke. Our first project today was to finish our number book. We counted things like frogs, jellybeans and eggs. Now we have a book from 1-10 about Spring things.

Pastor came in for our Bible story today. He told us the Easter story. The story told us about how Jesus grew up just like we are growing up. He helped people. He could do miracles like making blind people see and making storms stop. Jesus loved us so much that he took away our sins by dying on a cross. His friends were very sad because they thought that this was the end, but Jesus did not stay dead. He rose on Easter and we can celebrate his resurrection on Easter Sunday.

We finished our Dr. Seuss story about the king's stilts. Then we played with playdough and made crosses. Tyler brought yummy cupcakes for snack and his mom dropped them off for us. Everyone says "Thank You" to Tyler. We had a great time playing outside in the wonderful weather.

Our last project was to make a Larry puppet. Larry is a Veggie Tale. We had a vampire picture and vitamins for v items today. Next week we will be learning more about Easter and about the letter W.

It's the last day of March and we are all excited for Easter. The weather sounds like it will be good for Easter Sunday. We started our day today by choosing the v page we wanted to work on. We could pick a page with a valentine or a vest page. We had to find the words with the v at the beginning of the word. We had words like van, valentine and vine.

Our Bible story today wasa bout the Easter story. We heard how Jesus loved everyone. There were some people who did not like Jesus. They had him arrested. They told the rulers that Jesus should die. But Jesus did not do anything wrong. They made Jesus carry a cross. Jesus died on the cross and his friends put him in a tomb. They were very sad. But Jesus didn't stay dead. He rose on Easter. His friends were so glad to see Him. We talked about how Jesus came to forgive all our sins and take all believers to heaven.

The calendar helper for today was Cierra. She changed the days to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. She also put up the numbers 29,30 & 31. Lizzie dressed our weather bear in a purple dress and blue tiara. The weather today was sunny. We read a story about Easter. Then we made crosses with salt dough and played with playdough. Cierra brought yummy snacks. They were like hot pockets shaped like Spring & Easter things.

We had a great time outside even though it was windy. We ended the day by making our van wheels with words like valentine and vest. No school Friday or Monday. On Wednesday we will be learning about W and more about Easter.

Dear Parents,

It was another great day at Little Lambs today. This week we are working on the letter v. Our first project this morning was a project we had to follow directions on. There were pictures of a vest, an ice cream cone, cups and towels. We had to color the top one red and the bottom one blue.

Our Bible story today was about Jesus dying on the cross. Jesus loved everyone. Some people did not like Jesus. They had Jesus arrested even though he didn't do anything wrong. They wanted him to die. When Jesus died on the cross he was not angry at the people who didn't like him. He asked God to forgive them. Jesus died on the cross but he didn't stay day. He rose on Easter Sunday! We learned about how Jesus saved us from our sins and will take us to heaven some day. We can remember that Jesus loves us even when we sin and that he takes away our sins.

We planted grass seed today. We used part of an egg carton to plant it. We covered the bottom with plastic and then put dirt and grass in the carton. We will watch these grow. We also drew a picture of our growing marigolds. We are excited about these. We had cookies and juice for snack that Joseph brought for us.

It was a great day to play outside and that is how we finished our day. On Thursday we will finish our Spring counting book and learn more about Easter.

We are learning about the letter V this week. We are almost to the end of the alphabet. We made another book today. This one had the letter V in it. We colored pictures of a vase, a van and a valentine. We also practiced our v's and drew v words. We drew a lot of vegetables.

Pastor came in today. Our Bible story was about Holy Week. We learned about the people waving palm branches for Jesus to welcome him. We also learned that there were some angry men who wanted to hurt Jesus. They arrested him and wanted him to die. Jesus died on the cross and forgave the people who hurt Him. But Jesus didn't stay dead. He rose again on Easter and we are excited to celebrate Easter this Sunday. We talked about all the people we will get to see when we got to heaven. We also did exercises with Pastor.

Cameron put up the numbers 27,28 and 29 on our calendar and changed the name of today to Monday. Kenzie dressed the bear in a blue sparkly dress and put a sun on the weather chart for Monday. We read a story about a butterfly. We are excited about our caterpillars growing bigger and turning into butterflies. We had yummy Jello and cookies today that Kenny & Dulci brought in. We got to plant grass seed in a little Easter basket to take home. Then we also drew a picture of our favorite part of the story that Pastor read to us.

We had a great time playing outside in the warm weather. Then we finished the day by making a picture of the Jesus' cross. We will learn more about V and Easter on Wednesday. No School Friday or Monday

Dear Parents,

Today was another beautiful day at preschool. We are talking about the letter U again this week. Our first project was to make a ukulele. We put the strings on it. We could put the strings on in different ways and could choose how many strings we wanted. It was fun to pretend to play the ukulele.

We learned more about how to be a helper. Jamie our puppet reminded us that hands are for helping and playing. We aren't to little to help. We talked about the things we like to help with. No one thought they would like to wash feet like Jesus did. Jesus was reminding us to help others. There are many ways to be a helper.

Caden was our calendar helper. He put up the numbers 23 and 24. Then he changed the day to Wednesday. Kenny was our weather helper. It was sunny and cloudy outside. He dressed the bear in pink and black. Our story today was about a lamb and a butterfly.

We had cheese balls for snack that Keagan brought for us. We planted flower seeds and then drew picture of what we think our flowers will look like and pictures of what we did today. We are excited to see them grow. Then we had a great time playing outside and it was not too cold or hot. Our last project was to make a footprint bookmark. This is to help us remember how we can be helpers like Jesus served his disciples in the Bible story.

No School on Friday so we will see everyone next week when we will be learning about Easter and the letter V.

Dear Parents,

We had a great day at preschool today. We had two new students today in preschool. Madison and Ericka were here today and we were glad to see them. We started our day by doing a spring project. We did a dot-to-dot of ABC's. We had to connect the dots in the right order. When the picture was done it made a picture of a flower.

Pastor came in today to tell us our Bible story. It was a story about feet. We talked about how when we wear shoes all day our feet get stinky. When Jesus and his disciples were around they did not have shoes. They wore sandals so their feet got really dirty. Servants would wash the guests feet. The disciples were surprised we Jesus washed their feet. Jesus reminded us that we should be servants and help other people. We did a few exercises with Pastor and we sang some songs.

Our calendar helper was Brianna. She put up the numbers 20,21, and 22 and changed the day to Monday. Keagan put a sun on the Monday box and dressed the bear all in yellow. Miss Schlesselman finished "The Kings Stilts" today. Then we did our centers. We had snack that Luke brought. We made a long u book with words like unicycle, use and unicorn. We also made a unicorn puppet.

The weather was great outside and we enjoyed playing. Our last project for the day was to make a Spring poster. Saturday was the first day of Spring. We put flowers on the poster that said "Hooray it's Spring".

Wednesday we will do more Spring activities and learn more about Jesus washing his disciples feet.

We had a great day at preschool today. We have a new student named Charleigh. She will be coming to school with us. We are glad to have her in our class. We started our day by making a leprechaun hat. We had to cut out the hat and then Mrs. Klaustermeier helped us measure the hat for our head.

Pastor came in today to tell our Bible story. The Bible story today was about a widow. A widow is a lady that was married but her husband has died. Jesus was watching all the people as they came in to the temple to worship and pray. Many of the rich people put a little bit of money in and had lots left over. The widow put all that she had in. She knew that God would take care of her. Pastor talked with us about how we could be helpers to our moms, dads and teachers.

We made Irish soda bread today. We mixed flour, baking powder, baking soda, milk, sugar and currants together. Then we baked it in the oven. We got to try it before we went home. Some of us liked it and some of us didn't. Kevin brought yummy fruit snacks and juice for snack. We also had a great time playing outside as the weather was great.

We finished the day by tasting our bread and making a umbrella puppet. We cut out the top of the umbrella and it's handle. Next week we will be learning more about U and about Jesus washing his disciples feet.

Dear Parents,

We had a great St. Patrick's day today. We think a leprechaun was at school because there were a lot of leprechaun hats hidden around the room. Our first project also had to do with St. Patrick's day. We had to find the shamrocks in the picture and color them green. After we found all the shamrocks, then we had to count them.

We acted out our Bible story today. Miss Schlesselman gave us money pouches and we each had some money in them. We put some money in the offering box just like the people in our story did today. Maddie was the widow lady. She put her two coins in the offering basket and had none left. The widow in our Bible story also gave all she had. We learned that we don't have to do big things to be Jesus helpers.

Ayden was our calendar helper today. We put the numbers 16 &17 on the calendar. Our weather helper was Dulci. She dressed the bear in a dress and sparkly hat. Since we are talking about U our story today was the Ugly Duckling. We heard about how the duckling that was made fun of became a beautiful swan. We made puppets of the story too. Then we had pictures that we put in order to retell the story. We thought it was cool that the cupcakes Maddie brought turned us green.

On Friday we learn more about U and the Bible story about the widow.

It was great to see our friends back at preschool today. We hope you had a great break. We are learning about the letter U this week. Our first project was a maze. It will be St. Patrick's Day tomorrow so we had to do the maze to help the leprechaun find his gold. We also listened to some fun music by Jim Gill. (jimgill.com) Miss Schlesselman heard it and bought at CD over Spring Break.

Our bible story today was about a woman who gave something to Jesus. Jesus and his helpers were at the church. They saw many rich people drop money into the offering box. They gave a little of their money. We acted out being these people. Miss Schlesselman gave us money and told us to put some of the money in the box but keep some. Then a lady who was a widow put only two small coins in the offering which was all she had. Ashlynn played this part for us. Jesus told his disciples that the widow lady gave the most. His helpers were confused but Jesus told them that she gave the most because she gave all that she had.

We made u's with beads and pipe cleaners. We also made an octopus which is an under the sea animal. Emily brought great cupcakes that turned our mouths and teeth green (if we had the green icing). It was nice outside today so we had a great time playing outside.

Our last job was to make an u page for ABC book. We cut out an umbrella. We decorated it and put a handle on it. On Thursday we will be learning more about the letter U and doing more St. Patrick's Day actvities.

Our letter for this week was T so we made a tree with green leaves. Then our Bible story this week was Zacchaeus and so we also put Zacchaeus in the tree. Mrs. Klaustermeier was at bus meeting so Cierra's mom Mrs. Figura, helped us out today.

We reviewed the story and helped Miss Schlesselman fill in the parts of the story. We also sang the Zacchaeus song again and we did some karate punches and kicks with our letters. We used the lower case letters and if the letters started in the middle we punched in the middle. If the letters started at the top line then we punched up. If the letters had a tail we kicked. It was a neat song.

Our calendar helper was Nova. He put up the numbers 4 and 5. He also put up Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Cierra was our calendar helper today. She dressed the bear in pink camoflague and also put sunny up for the weather today. Our story today was about a cow who laid an egg.

We got to go on the computers today and we also looked at books. Mrs. Figura helped with our snack today. Ben brought some yummy pudding and milk. We had a great time playing outside. The weather was really nice.

We practiced writing our T's and then it was time to go. When we come back from break we will be learning about the Widow's Mite and the letter U.

Thursday March 4th

Dear Parents,

It was a a great day at preschool today. The weather outside is very nice too. We started our day by tracing a tree. Practicing tracing will help us with letters and numbers as we learn more. We also colored the tree and drew apples on the tree and rain.

Our puppet Jenna reminded us that we can love even when we don't like what someone does. When we did our story about Zacchaeus today we waved streamers. Some of us had read streamers and waved them when we heard the name of Jesus and the rest of us had yellow streamers and waved them when we heard the name Zacchaeus. We heard how Zacchaeus did some bad things and people didn't like him. But when Jesus came he told Zacchaeus he wanted to come to his house and Zacchaeus told Jesus he was sorry for the wrong things he did.

We did some punching with our letters today. We kicked when the letters had a tail (g,j,p), punched low when they were short letters (a,c e,) and high when they were tall letters (b,d,f,). We played a game where we put a truck together with a bed, a cab a window, and three wheels. We also used our fine motor skills to cut out tools.

We had cupcakes and juice pouchese for snack that our friend Nicholas brought. Then we got to go outside and play on the playground. It was nice weather to play outside today. Our last project for the day was making a turtle puppet.

Next week is Spring Break, so we will see everyone on Tuesday the 16th. We will be learning about the letter U and the widow's offering.

Dear Parents,

It is a beautiful day today. We were excited to have all our friends back at preschool today. We are learning about the letter T this week so our first project was making a truck book. We could make the truck any color we wanted to. We could also make it any kind of truck we wanted to going anywhere. We had dinosaur trucks, doughnut trucks, delivery trucks and fire trucks.

Pastor came in for our Bible story. We heard about Zacchaeus. He was too short to see above the crowd to see Jesus and the crowd wouldn't move for him. He climbed a tree and Jesus found him in the tree and knew his name. Jesus said Zacchaeus "You come down." Then he went to Zacchaeus house even though not many people liked Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus told Jesus that he was sorry for all the wrong things he did. We're glad that Jesus can forgive us for all the wrong things that we do too. Pastor sang a song with us and Olivia helped us with the actions. We also did exercises.

Lizzie was our calendar helper today. She put up the numbers 2 and 3 and changed today to Wednesday. Our weather helper was Cameron. It was sunny today and the bear was dressed like a cowboy. We read a story about Chocolatina today who loved chocolate so much she turned into chocolate. We made a toy truck picture today. We also played a truck game where we had to find all the pieces for the truck like a cab, wheels, and a bed. Grant brought great brownies for his birthday and we sang "Happy Birthday" to him.

We got a little bit of time to play outside before we did our last project. Our wheel for this week was a tiger. There were pictures of T words like tiger, tree and truck. We will be learning more about T words this week and about Zacchaeus.

Dear Parents,

Today was another great day at preschool. We started our day by making colorful t's. We used strips of paper to make a lowercase T and an uppercase T. We learned that a small t looks like a cross. We also colored a picture of a turtle.

Then Pastor came in to talk to us. He told us a story about a man name Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus was a tax collector (like an IRS agent). Nobody liked Zacchaeus because he took extra money for the taxes. Zacchaeus was a very short man. He wanted to see Jesus when he came but the crowd was too big, so he climbed a tree. Jesus found him in the tree and went to Zacchaeus's house. Zacchaeus promised not to cheat and to give back the money he stole. We're glad that God always forgives us when we do bad things. We sang a song about Zacchaeus and did some exercises.

We made a train picture. We had to color each part of the train a different color. Then we did a dot to dot picture and counted turtles. We used bears as counters also and put one bear on each turtle. We had 10 small turtles on our paper. We had chips and milk for snack. Our last project today was to make a tree. We made the tree trunk, branches and leaves. Then we drew Zacchaeus in the tree.

We will be learning more about the letter T on Thursday and Zacchaeus.

Dear Parents,

March has begun and it seems like the weather is pretty calm for the first day of March. We are talking about T this week. We made T books today. The t books had pictures of turtles and televisions in them. We practiced our t's and drew t pictures like t.v.'s, trees, and tornadoes.

Our Bible story today was about Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus was a man who was short and he was a tax collector. Lots of people did not like Zacchaeus because he cheated them. One day when Jesus came to town he wanted to see him. He was too short so he climbed a tree. Jesus found him and went to his house with him even though Zacchaeus was a sinner. When we listened to the story we waved our streamers whenever we heard Jesus, Zacchaeus or crowd.

Maddie only had one number to put up on the March calendar. She also changed the days to Sunday Monday and Tuesday. Caden was our weather helper. It was cloudy outside today. He dresssed the bear like a pumpkin. We did train projects today. We drew a picture of us in the train engine as the conductor and told Mrs. Klaustermeier where we wanted to go. We also made a train picture by cutting out the train and gluing it to the track. Nova brought a great snack of Toy Story crackers and grapes.

We had fun playing outside since it was finally warm enough. There was still a little bit of snow left on the playground. We made a windsock since it is March and it is often windy. We can hang it outside to see when the wind blows.

We will be learning more about the letter T and Zacchaeus on Wednesday.

Dear Parents,
Today we made a salty square. We painted a square with purple and green paint. Then Miss Schlesselman or Mrs. Klaustermeier salt them. We did squares because we are talking about the letter s.

We practiced upstairs today for our singing on Sunday. Then we looked at the things in church like the baptismal font and the stained glass windows that Luke's grandma made. They are very pretty. We also acted out our Bible story today. We pretended like we were Martha working and then like we were Mary listening. Jesus told Mary that she was doing the best thing because she was listening to Jesus.

We read Purplicious today. Luke was our calendar helper today. He put up our last two days we will have on our February calendar. When we come back to school it will be March. Then Brianna dressed the bear in a dress. We had to find t the toothbrushes in the picture of George Washington. George Washington used to have teeth made of bone. We also practiced our s's. Kenzie brought a great S snack of square cookies. We also liked the yummy snack mix.

We did musical carpets too. Then we finsihed our last project which was a puzzle project of George Washington.

Next week we will be learning about lettter T and Zacchaeus. We hope to see you on Sunday.

Dear Parents,

Today was another cold day. We were glad it was nice and warm inside. Our first project was to make a snake. Mrs. Klaustermeier and Miss Schlesselman were glad that it was only a pretend snake. We cut the paper on the spiral line and had to turn the paper as we cut. The snake was sleeping.

We went upstairs to practice our song for Sunday. We also looked at the things in church like the baptismal stand, the altar and the stained glass windows. We acted out the Bible story today. We pretended to be Mary and Martha. We worked hard like Martha and we sat like Mary. Martha got mad that Mary was not helping. But Jesus told her that Mary was doing the right thing because Jesus had important things to tell him.

We read Pinkalicious today. It was a story about a girl who turned pink Then we did some Olympic activities. We made an Olympic torch and drew pictures of our favorite Olympic event. Since it was too cold outside for recess we stayed inside. We played in the sandbox and then put plastic sandwich bags on our feet and pretended to skate. We made a sled puppet today.

Next week we will be learning about Zacchaeus and the letter T.

Dear Parents,

We are learning about the letter s this week. We learned about s at the beginning of words and the end of words. We had picture that we had to cut out. There was picture of bus and a sub. We had to put the pictures that start with s by the sub and the pictures that end with s by the bus.

Our Bible story today was about Mary and Martha. Mary and Martha were friends of Jesus. One day when Jesus came to visit Mary was listening to Jesus and Martha was working getting things ready. Martha was upset that Mary was not helping. Martha complained to Jesus. Jesus loved Martha and he reminded her that she didn't need to worry. Jesus had important things to say and all Martha needed to do was listen. We talked about how we should listen to our parents when they are telling us something just like Mary listened to Jesus.

Our calendar helper was Lucas. He changed the day to Wednesday and put up the numbers 23 and 24. Ben moved our weather arrow to sunny and changed the name of the day to Wednesday. Our story today was Fox in Socks. We did Olympic activities for our centers today. We made a torch like the used to light the Olympic flame. We drew pictures of our favorite Olympic events. Lucas brought Twinkies and milk for snack.

Then we played inside because it was too cold outside. We pretended to do Olympic events. We used plastic box covers for our bobsleds, poles for ski poles and wax paper for ice skating. It was fun. Our last project was to make our snowman wheel. We did a great job cutting them out and learned some s words.

Friday we will be learning about George Washington, Mary and Martha and the letter S.

Dear Parents,

We are almost at the end of February. This month has sure gone by fast. Today we painted. We painted square which starts with S and then Miss Schlesselman sprinkles some salt on the picture to make it sparkly.

Pastor came in for our Bible story today. He told us about a woman who lost a coin. We talked about how we like to count money. The women in the story had some very important coins and she lost one. She had to sweep the house and light lamps but she finally found the coin. When she found it she celebrated with her friends. We talked about how Jesus saved us from our sins and how we can tell God we are sorry when we do something wrong. When we do that the angels celebrate. Jesus is always happy when we say we're sorry.

Our story today was about George Washington. We learned that he was our first president. We made a three cornered hat just like he used to wear. We also cut apart a puzzle and put it back together to make a picture of him. Joseph brought great snacks of fruit snacks and juice. It was too cold outside so we did some Mousexercies with Mickey Mouse music.

Our final project we did for our ABC book. We made a sandwich. We had to cut out the bread. Then we put the things on the sandwich like cheese, bologna, ham and ketchup.

On Thursday we will learn about Mary and Martha and more about the letter S.

Dear Parents,

It was windy today so we didn't get to go outside. A lot of the snow has melted but the temperatures are not a lot warmer today. Our first project was our s book. It had lots of good S words like sunglasses and sweater. We practiced our s's and also drew pictures of other words like sister and snake.

Pastor told us a story today about a woman who lost a coin. She couldn't find it. She swept her whole hose and lit lamps until she found the coin. When she found it she celebrated. Pastor told us that every time someone repents (says they're sorry) the angels rejoice. We talked about how we can say we're sorry for the bad things that we did and that Jesus forgives us and the angels rejoice. Then we did exercises with Pastor.

Our calendar helper today was Kenzie. She put up the numbers 20,21 and 22 on our February calendar. Then she changed the days of the week. Ayden was our weather helper. He changed the weather to cloudy and dressed the bear as a cowboy. Then we heard a story about a girl and three polar bears. It was a lot like "Goldilocks and the 3 bears."

We made a snowman picture that we had to put in order. We had to put what went first, what went next and what came last. Then we also colored a frog picture by coloring the s's and t's yellow or green. Dulci brought a yummy snack of pudding, juice and Teddy Grahams. Since it was too windy to go outside we got to play with the parachute. We spun it, bounced it and crawled under it.

Our last job for the day was to paint a snowy picture. Miss Schlesselman said that we could paint snow since a lot of the snow outside melted. We used white paint and blue paper.

Wednesday we will be learning about Mary and Martha, more about the letter s and we will be doing some Olympic activities.

Dear Parents,

Today we worked on a picture of Abraham Lincoln. We cut out his shirt and his bow tie. Then we glued them to a piece of blue paper. We colored his bow tie black and gave him a beard. We learned about Lincoln on Wednesday. He liked to keep important papers in his hat.

Our Bible story today was about a boy who had two loaves of bread and five fish. There were a lot of people listening to Jesus. It was late and they were getting hungry. Jesus did a miracle and made enough food from the bread and fish to feed over 5,000 people. We talked about how Jesus can help us by forgiving us and taking care of us.

Our calendar helper was Kenny. He put up the numbers 18 and 19. He also changed the day to Friday. Nova was our weather helper. He changed the arrow to point to sunny and changed the day to Friday. He dressed the bear like a pumpkin. Our story today was about a greedy python.

At centers we worked on a picture of what we would do if we were president. Caden brought cookies for snack. We also drew a picture of ourselves and the letters we knew. We had fun playing in the snow.

Our last project was to make a rainbow. Miss Schlesselman had us use different color strips of paper to glue on the rainbow. We glued them in the order of red, orange, yellow green, blue and purple.

Next week we will be working on the letter S and learning about Mary and Martha.

Dear Parents,

We are learning about the letter R today so our first project today as to make a robin picture for our ABC book. We cut out the robin. Robins have orange or red tummies so we put an orange belly on our robin.

Our Bible story today was about 10 sick men. Jesus was walking into town when the men came to him. Jesus told them to go to the priests to get checked out. As they were going they felt better. They were healed. Only one man came back to tell Jesus thank you. We thanked Jesus for all the times that he helps and heals us.

We made a rainbow picture today. We had to cut and glue the different colors of the rainbow on to the paper. We worked on putting them in the right order. Then we also made a picture of Abraham Lincoln. We heard about him on Tuesday. We had to cut out the puzzle pieces and put them in the right order.

We got to play outside and there was still a lot of snow outside and some huge snowballs. We had fun in the snow. We finished the day by making a raccoon puppet.

Next week we will be learning about the letter S and Mary and Martha.

We had a busy day at preschool today. We are learning about the letter R this week. We made a book with r words in it. We had to cut the pages apart and then Miss Schlesselman and Mrs. Klaustermeier stapled them. We practiced writing the r words or writing our r's.

Pastor came in to tell us our Bible story today. He told us about a man who was sick and couldn't walk. His friends were sad that he was sick and they knew that Jesus could help him. They decided to take him to Jesus but they couldn't get him in the door. The climbed the roof and cut a hole in the roof. Then then lowered the man to the floor. First Jesus told him his sins were forgiven. We talked about sins and how Jesus forgives all our sins. Then Jesus made the man walk.

We made our rocket wheels and a book about the Presidents. We learned that George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were important presidents. We also learned r words with our rocket wheel. We had pretzels and cheese for snack which Luke brought for us.

We will be learning more about Lincoln and the letter R on Friday.

Dear Parents,

I hope that you enjoyed the weekend. I heard that is snowed some more this weekend. (I was up in Wisconsin) I'm probably one the few people who was glad to see snow.

Today we learned about the letter Q since we missed learning about it last week. Our first project was to find the little q's and big q's. Then we had to color the spaces with them different colors. When we were finished it was a picture of a boat.

Pastor came in to tell us our Bible story today. It was a story about a man who was healed by Jesus. He could not walk so his friends had to cut a hole in the roof. They lowered him down so he could see Jesus. First Jesus told the man he was forgiven. Then he did a miracle and made him walk. We talked about what sins were and how Jesus can forgive them. Sammy lead us in some exercises. Then we went upstairs to see where the quilters are working. They showed us how they quilt and we founds shapes in the quilts.

Then we made a picture of our family. Miss Schlesselman is going to put them all together to make a quilt. We also painted with a feather. A long time ago they used to have a feather for a pen. They called it a quill. We pretended like we were using a quill.

Emily brought cookies and juice for snack. We liked snack. Then we got to play parachute and that was fun too. We finished the day by making a quilt picture for our ABC book.

We will be learning about the letter R on Thursday and hearing more about presidents.

Dear Parents,

We had a great day today and we were glad to see everyone back after our snow day on Tuesday. It was Grandparents Day and we had our Valentines Day party today. We made a bear for our Valentines Day box. We traced the bear with our grandparents and stapled it to our box.

Pastor came in to tell us our Bible story today. It was a story about Jesus feeding a lot of people. We heard how there were a lot of people who were listening to Jesus. It was time to eat and they were hungry. All the had was a few fish and some loaves of bread. It was not enough to feed everyone but Jesus prayed over the bread and there was a miracle. There was enough for 5,000 men and also for the women and children.

We did three different projects next. We made a heart that said I love you. We made cookies and we drew pictures of our house and school. Our grandparents also drew pictures of their houses and schools. We got to play the bean bag song and we tossed bean bags to our Grandmas and Grandpas.

Then we got to pass out our Valentines. We had lots of yummy treats and candy for our party. Thanks to all the grandparents who came.

Next week we will be learning about the letter R and the 10 sick men.

Dear Parents,

We're back in school today again after a snow day on Monday It was quite cold outside. We started the day by making pictures with feathers. We dipped the feathers in paint and used the tip to draw them. A long time ago people didn't use pens and pencils like we have to write. They used quills. We used the feathers like quills today.

Our Bible story today was about ten sick men. The men were so sick that they had to stay away from their families. One day Jesus came to town. Then called to him and Jesus made them well. He told them to go show themselves to the priests. As they were going they were healed. Only one man came back to tell Jesus thank you. We talked about how we can thank Jesus and talk to him anyplace and anywhere.

Our calendar helper was Grant. We already had Wednesday up from the last time we did calendar. Grant put the numbers 9 and 10 on the February calendar. Lucas was our weather helper. He dressed the bear like a policeman and put the word cloudy and clouds on Wednesday.
Our story was about Grandparents Day.

We made our Q books and drew a picture of our family that Miss Schlesselman will make into a quilt. We had brownies and milk for snack that Cameron brought. We played inside today because it was too cold. Our final project was to make a quilt wheel.

Dear Parents,

Today was pajama day! We had fun wearing our pajamas. We had all sorts of colors and kinds of pajamas. Our first project was a penguin project. We had to put the penguin story in order. The first picture was of a penguin at the the top of the hill, then going down the hill, then the penguin at the bottom where he hit his head. We cut out the pictures and put them in order.

Our Bible story was about the lost son. We did actions to tell the Bible story. The father had two sons and the younger son was given his half of the money. We pretended to go spend the money just like the son did. The son decided to go back to his home and the dad forgave him. We talked about how God forgives us and how we can say I'm sorry and I forgive you to others.

We made valentine hearts and learned about halves and fourths also. We had a pizza that we cut in fourths and a sandwich that we cut in half. We learned about sharing and how to split things up. Miss Schlesselman brought brownies for snack because her birthday was yesterday. Nathan brought some yummy juice and fruit snacks.

We did indoor recess since some of us were wearing slippers. We also made a pig puppet. Next week will be learning about the letter q and ten men with leprosy.

Dear Parents,

It was another great day in preschool today. We started the day by making a penguin. They looked really cute. We practiced our cutting skills by cutting out the belly and the feet. Then we glued the white belly onto the black body and gave it flippers, a beak and a bow tie.

Miss Schlesselman drew the picture of a Bible story on the white board. She drew a man had two sons. The younger son his father for the money he would get when his dad died. When he got the money he spent it all up. Then he didn't have any friends or money and had to feed pigs. Miss Schlesselman drew a sad face because the son was son. He decided to tell his dad he was sorry. His father forgave him and gave him a party. Miss Schlesselman drew balloons. We can forgive because God forgave us.

Our calendar helper was Dulci. She put up the number 2 and 3 and changed the day to Wednesday. Luke was our weather helper and he dressed the bear like a cowboy. He also put the sun up for Wednesday and changed the word so it said sunny.
We cut out hearts today for centers and Miss Schlesselman brought brownies and popcorn for snack. It is her birthday.

It was nice enough to play outside today. We made penguin wheels and the wheels had p words like pencil on it. Friday will be pajama day and we get to wear pajamas. We will learn more about P and the forgiving father.

Dear Parents,

Happy Groundhog's Day! As you may have heard the groundhog saw it's shadow. It seems like he's on the right track as we had some snow flurries this morning, Our first project was related to Groundhog's Day. We had to cut and fold a book. The book told us about a groundhog that saw its shadow.

Pastor came in today and told us a story about a boy who ran away from home. The boy wanted to live on his own and the father gave him the money. But the boy wasted all his money on friends and parties He ended up feeding pigs and wanting to eat the pigs food. He decided to go home and tell his dad he was sorry. His dad forgave him. We talked about how God forgives us and we should forgive others. Then Kevin led us in exercises.

We made a groundhog and its shadow. Then we colored a picture about the Polish fairytale Miss Schlesselman told us about a princess that wouldn't laugh. Nicholas brought us Rice Krispie treats for snack. Then we got to play outside. We finished the day by making a police picture.

Pajama day is Thursday and you can wear you pajamas. We will learn more about the forgiving father and the letter P.

Dear Parents,

We worked on our phone numbers and addresses today. We wrote our names on a picture of a person, traced our house addresses on the picture of the house and traced the numbers on the picture of the phone. We also got to dial a big paper phone. Miss Schlesselman and Mrs. Klaustermeier pretended like they were talking to our moms.

Our Bible story today was about the children going to see Jesus. We acted out the story by waking up and walking to see Jesus. We were sad when we were told we couldn't see Jesus but happy when Jesus told us he loved us and wanted to talk to us. Jesus is never too busy for us.

Our calendar helper was Cierra. She put the word Friday under the words "Today is". She also put up the numbers 28 and 29 which will be the last numbers we put up for January. Kenzie was our weather helper. She dressed the bear in sparkly outfit. She saw clouds when she looked out the window so she put up the clouds on Friday.

We colored a German flag and an ocean picture during centers. The snack today was yummy and nutritious. Cierra brought oranges and grapes. They were good. We tossed bean bags and passed bean bags for our recess today since it was too cold to go outside. Then we got to paint over our ocean picture with paint. It made the parts we hadn't colored blue but it didn't paint over the crayon parts.

Next week will will be learning about the letter P. If there are any police men or women that would like to visit please call me and we could set up a time. It will work anytime during the school day. On Friday we have pajama day and you can wear your pajamas to school. We will also learn about a forgiving Father and Poland.

It was cold again today. We are glad we got to stay inside where it was warm. We worked on our phone numbers and addresses today. We also wrote our names. There was a big phone that we could pretend to push the numbers on.

Pastor came in today. He told us about two sisters Mary and Martha. Mary and Martha were listening to Jesus. Martha though she needed to worry about what Jesus and his friends would eat. But Jesus told Martha that he had important thing to say. Martha should listen to Jesus and not worry about other things. We talked about how it is important to listen to Jesus. Jesus can talk to us through the Pastor, teachers, the bible or devotions. We did exercises today too. Our story was about Franklin and the storm.

We got to play Bingo today. We had to find colors first and then we had to find numbers. We filled up our cards and said Bingo when we got them filled. Becca brought an awesome snack today. It was yummy cheese crackers. They were really neat because they had letters on them. We could find the letters in our name. We had fun eating with them and playing with them.

Our last project today was to work on our Grandparents Day cards. We glued on information about Grandparents day on the cards and then we decorated them with stickers and hearts. We will have a Grandparents Day on February 11th. We will do activities with our grandparents or special friends and they will help us pass out Valentines.

Next week we will be learning about P. We will be hearing about a forgiving father. Thursday will be our pajama day and you can choose to wear your pajamas to school.

Tuesday January 26th

Dear Parents,

We had a great day at preschool today. All of our friends were back at preschool. Also we had a new friend who came to preschool for the first time. Her name is Emily. We're glad Emily is in our class. We got to paint today. We painted an oval. Oval starts with O and is the same shape as O.

The Bible story today was about Jesus and the children. Our puppet Jenna talked about how sometimes we feel like we arent' big enough. We talked about the things we are too little for like driving and working at a job. Then we heard about how some children went to go see Jesus with their moms and dads. But Jesus helpers thought the children were too small for Jesus to listen to. Jesus told the disciples that the children were very important and Jesus spent time talking with them.

We made a picture of our house today. We put on roofs, windows, doors and bushes. It was too cold to go outside so we played marching games inside. Then it was time to go home.

On Thursday we will practice our phone numbers and make Grandparents Day cards. We will learn more about Jesus and the children.

Dear Parents,

Today we learned more about O words. This week all our words in our book started with o that said it's name. We had pictures like oatmeal, ocean and oval. We put our books together and colored the pictures. We learned about a lot of words that start with O.

Pastor came today and told us a story about Mary and Martha. They were sisters. Jesus was coming to see them. Martha was worried about all the things that had to be done but Mary listened to Jesus. Martha was upset but Jesus told her that it was more important to listen what he was saying. We talked about how it is important to listen to what Jesus has to say. He may talk to us through our pastors, our parents, through his word or through devotions but it is important to listen to Jesus.

Our calendar helper was Brianna. She put the days of the week up Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. She also put the numbers 23, 24 and 25 on our January calendar. We had a fire marshal come to visit our school today. He checked to make sure that our school was safe and it was. Keagan put snow and clouds up for the weather today. We learned about German numbers in our book today.

We did computers today and listened to a story about Little Red Riding Hood. Then we made a puppet of Little Red Riding Hood. Lucas brought a great snack of granola bars and juice for today. We did an obstacle course for our recess today. The wind outside made it too cold.

We will be learning more about Germany and the letter O on Wednesday. We will also learn about Jesus blessing the children.

Wednesday January 20th

Dear Parents,

We were glad to be back in school today. We had a new student start today. We're glad to have Brianna in our class. We started our day by making our O book. We had words like orange, octopus and overalls in our book. We practiced writing our names on the front of the books. Then we practiced writing O's and drew an O picture.

Pastor came in to tell us our Bible story today. He told us about the 12 disciples. The disciples were Jesus helpers. We heard about Andrew, Peter, James, John, Thomas and the other disciples. We counted the disciples as we learned about them. We also talked about grace. Grace is getting something we don't deserve. We talked about how we get birthday presents just because it's our birthday. Jesus gives us gifts too because he loves us.

Our calendar helper today was Ayden. He put up the numbers 19 and 20. He changed the days to say Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Our weather helper was Dulci. She moved the arrow to foggy weather and changed the day to Wednesday. Then she dressed the bear in a pretty dress. We read a story about a missing mitten. Then we did our centers.

Coty brought our snack today and it was good. We learned what the names of shapes are in Germany. We also dressed a boy in clothes like they wear in Germany. He had lederhosen and an accordian. We didn't go outside today but we got to play musical instruments and march around the room.

Friday we will be learning more about the letter O and Jesus disciples.

Tuesday January 19th

Dear Parents,

It sure was foggy today and over the weekend. We were glad to see our friends back at school today. We made an owl picture today. We had to cut out ovals for the owl's eyes. Then we put yellow tufts above his eyes. We also gave our owl a beak. We glued all these on to the owl's head.

Our Bible story today was about Jesus disciples. Andrew, Peter, Phillip and Nathaniel heard about Jesus. When they listened to Jesus they knew he was the Savior. Jesus asked them to follow Him and they did. They saw Jesus heal people, feed them and help them. They saw when Jesus rose from the dead. When Miss Schlesselman told us the story, we jumped whenever we heard Jesus name. We did a lot of jumping.

We read a story about Martin Luther King Jr. Then we made a puzzle picture of him. We also drew pictures of things that we dream of that would make the world better. We talked about people being nice, about sharing and being kind to animals. Then Pastor came in to read us a Bible story. We heard about more disciples like Matthew, James, John and Thomas. We learned that all of these disciples followed Jesus too and told other people about him.

Merrick's birthday is tomorrow and she brought yummy brownies and cupcakes. We sang Happy Birthday to her. We played outside today and the snow was almost gone. Then we came back in and made olive pictures. The olives are shaped like olives which are both O words.

On Thursday we will be learning more about O and you can bring an O item. We will also be learning more about Jesus disciples.

Friday January 15th

Dear Parents,

We had a great end to our first full week of school in the new year. Our first job was to practice writing our N's. We practiced little N's and big N's. Then we had to decide which picture a queen or a nurse sounded like the n in nest.

Our puppet came today to remind us how we all grow. We grow by learning new things and by learning how to do things. Then we took a trip upstairs. When we got upstairs, we went into the church. We talked about how Jesus and his family went to church. When we got back downstairs we found out Mrs. Klaustermeier was not with us. We found her in church just like Jesus. Church is a great place to talk to God.

Coty dressed the weather bear in a train outfit. He also put up the clouds for today because we couldn't see the sun. Then Olivia put up Friday and put up Saturday for tomorrow. She also put up the numbers 14 and 15. We read books and worked in our journal today. Dulci brought some carrots and dip. If we ate our carrots then we got to have a brownie.

We had fun playing outside, but the snow is almost gone. Our last fun activity was to make a necklace. Our letter for the week is N so we made a necklace. We used lots of beads.

Next week we will learn about O and Jesus calling his disciples.

Thursday January 14th

Dear Parents,

Today we worked on our N's. We colored a picture of an N and made an N with orange paper. You can make a N with 3 sticks.

Our bible story today was about Jesus at the temple. When Jesus and his family went to Jerusalem, a lot of people went with them. Jesus stayed at the temple but his parents didn't know. They were glad when they found Him. Our puppet Jenna reminded us how we are growing. We can do more things than we can as a baby and we are learning more about God each day.

We got to make necklaces today. Necklace is a n word. We got to pick our beads and put them on our strings. We made some very colorful necklaces. We also practiced counting our numbers. We put stickers on the numbers 1-10. Our snack today was brought by Ethan. He brought some yummy crackers with cheese and juice.

It was fun playing outside today and it wasn't cold. We had fun in the snow that is left. When we came back in we made a nut puppet. Two people brought nickels for their n thing. Next week we will be learning about the letter O and Jesus' disciples.

Wednesday January 13th

Dear Parents,

It was a busy day in preschool. We made nests today with medicine cups and string. Just like mommy birds have to weave their nests we had to weave ours too. We put the string in and out of the slits in the medicine cup. Then we put a mommy bird and baby bird in the nest.

We heard more about Mary, Joseph and Jesus today. Jesus and his family and friends walked to Jerusalem. They had a good time and went to the temple every day. When the started to walk home Jesus wasn't with them. Jesus was in God's house. We talked about how Jesus was doing God's work. We're glad that God sent Jesus.

Our calendar helper was Nova. He put up the numbers 10 and 11 and changed the day to Wednesday. We talked about the pattern of numbers. Our weather helper was Cierra. It was sunny today so she put the sun on Wednesday. She also dressed the bear in a sparkly outfit. Then we read a funny story about a mitten that some animals crawled into.

We made an origami hat out of newspaper that we could fold. They looked funny on our heads. We also played Goo-Mo-Ku a Japanese game like tic tac toe. Caden brought a yummy snack mix with animal crackers and M&M's. We got all ready to go outside but by the time we were ready it was time to leave. We were sad that we didn't get to play outside.

We will be working on n's and learning about Japan on Friday.

Tuesday January 12th

Dear Parents,

It was great seeing everyone back at school today. We were glad there was still snow to play in outside. Our first project this morning was to make a number book. We are learning about n and number starts with n. We practiced counting snowmen, sledders and gingerbread men.

Pastor came and told us a story today. He read about Mary, Joseph and Jesus who went on a trip with their family. They had to walk. They went for a special celebration in Jerusalem. When they left they started walking back. Joseph and Mary thought Jesus was with the family but Jesus wasn't. They looked for Jesus for three days until they found him in the temple. Jesus was safe in the temple talking to the pastors. The pastors were impressed with how much Jesus knew. We talked about how God gives us families to keep us safe and that churches are safe places too.

We read a funny story about a teacher that turned into a snow monster. Then we practiced writing our names and made nests. Nathan brought some yummy dinosaur fruit snacks and juice. Then we had fun playing in the snow.

A nurse is what we made for our ABC books. We will learn more about Jesus as a boy and the letter N on Thursday.

Dear Parents,

We were glad to see everyone back in school today. It's nice that it is warmer and we got to play outside today. Our first project was to practice writing our M's. We didn't get a chance to practice writing them on Friday. There was a picture of a monkey on the page and a mop.

Pastor came in to tell us our Bible story. He told us about Mary and Joseph taking a trip. Jesus went with them. When they started back home Jesus stayed in the temple to talk to the people at the temple. Mary and Joseph couldn't find Him and looked for three days. They were so happy to see Jesus. Jesus was doing God's work in the temple. God gave us families to take care of. We are glad for our families. Pastor picked some of our friends to lead the exercises because he had to leave.

Maddie was our calendar helper. She changed the day to Monday and put up the numbers 9, 10 and 11. Cameron was our weather helper. It was cloudy and snowy today and he dressed the bear in a snowsuit. We heard about things in Japan and there numbers in our book today. We sang Happy Birthday to Luke. We practiced counting in one of our centers today. We stamped and put stickers on our papers as we counted. We also did some fun puzzles and ate yummy cupcakes for Luke's birthday snack.

We had a great time playing in the snow!!!

Then we came inside and made our N books. We practiced our N's and drew pictures of needles and nests. On Wednesday we will learn more about Jesus as a boy, Japan and the letter N.
